ADD NEW TRAINING LOG

Off the job is an important part of your training and is tracked throughout the course, you are responsible for keeping accurate records. Apprentices, Course Directors, Clinical Supervisors and Mentors work in conjunction to record the 20% off the job hours and complete this form which is emailed to you on the commencement of the course and is ratified by your Line Manager.

Once submitted, the amount of off the job hours will be calculated, your Course Director will be able to receive a copy of your 20% off the job tracking log. This data will be used to report your progress to your Line Manager and Employer.

To complete this form:

  4. Activity: Please provide a description of the activity undertaken
  5. Knowledge: List the Knowledge codes
  6. Skills: List the skill codes

  8. Record hours and minutes
  9. Line manager to sign

What if I don’t have time in work to complete the off the job training? Your employer has already agreed that they will provide you with the time to complete your training, as they signed the Training Agreement. It is your responsibility to speak to your line manager if you are struggling to complete the requirements because you are too busy.
How many hours do I need to complete the 20% off the job element? You require in total 936 hours over the 36 months.
What happens if I do not meet the 20% Training within work? The 20% off the job training time is one way your line manager supports you to complete the apprenticeship programme. Monthly reports are provided to show your progress, which includes how many hours you have completed within work time. This is to support you to keep on track so you do not fall behind with your learning by making your experience manageable.
