The apprenticeship course has enriched and developed me as a person and continues to do so. I can see the impact of this through the children I work with, and it is a very powerful process. The course is structured well with the right amount of theory and practical to make it interesting, interactive, insightful and impactful.

I still pinch myself that I am experiencing this course as an apprentice. It is exceptionally valuable, I feel so supported and like I am on a brilliant journey. I love the mixture of practical and theoretical learning and that I can share my learning with my employers along the way.

I was put off Higher Education by getting into debt but my apprenticeship is not only free, I am getting paid to do it!

The play therapy apprenticeship is allowing me to study and work at the same time, it is financially accessible and with the support of my workplace, totally achievable. The course is fascinating and I'm already learning so much about, not only becoming a play therapist (and helping children to help themselves) but also, I'm learning more about myself.

I feel exceptionally lucky to have been given this experience. I feel that it is a journey of transformation and can’t wait to find out where it is going to lead to. Already what I have learnt in such a short time is just amazing.

I have just started seeing clients after the first three blocks of training and it has been wonderful to see how the training kicks in automatically in the play therapy room. It is also exciting to see how the structure of play therapy can affect a child in very few sessions. The onsite training has been top notch and experiencing what our clients may experience in the playroom has been very informative. From a personal perspective, the in-person training has deeply affected me and allowed me to process things in my life that I did not realise needed to be processed... a very healing experience. There is a lot to learn, and the course is academically rigorous, but I am enjoying studying again and the fact that the course is clinical, therapeutic for me, and academic, is an incredible mixture. Very thankful for this opportunity.

I feel really fortunate to be doing the Play Therapist Apprenticeship. I wouldn't have been able to gain this qualification using a non-apprenticeship route and am so grateful for the opportunity.

My apprenticeship so far, has helped me to gain a vast amount of knowledge and learn many new skills, helping me to become a more confident trainee play therapist.
I am almost halfway through my training, and I feel that I have developed greatly, both as a person and as a practitioner. I look forward to qualifying as a certified play therapist and helping many clients in the future.

I am absolutely loving the apprenticeship, and it is a way for me to train whilst continuing to work.
I would not be able to do this course otherwise.
It is full on. There is a lot to get done but I am enjoying studying again and the practical elements of the course.
I am almost halfway through my training, and I feel that I have developed greatly, both as a person and as a practitioner. I look forward to qualifying as a certified play therapist and helping many clients in the future.

This apprenticeship has been like no other training or work I have experienced before. It's been a personal journey as well as a professional journey and I feel so grateful to be able to complete this. If I could describe it in 3 words, it would be "intensive, life changing and healing"

If I could sum up the apprenticeship in one sentence it would be, inspiring, challenging and life changing!

“
The apprenticeship has been lots of work but has been eye opening and transformative. I am so glad I made the decision to join the course. It is informing how I approach my current role for the better as well as my developing skills as a play therapist and aspirations for the future.
“
The apprenticeship has been a journey of professional and personal growth. It has provided a wealth of knowledge and experiences that I would not have been able to gain elsewhere. It has also made it possible for me to train to become a therapist whilst still working, enabling me to follow my dream and remain financially stable.

The apprenticeship has given me the opportunity to do something I did not think was possible.
The training sessions so far have been incredible and of such a high standard that it has enabled me to reflect a lot on my past life. It has definitely been a form of therapy for me.
So far, I have done one introductory session with my first client and the knowledge and training I had received before this first session had prepared me to deliver the introductory session successfully.
